Version 0.1.9 Harriet

written by Giorno on Saturday, 8 January 2011

New year, new false promises!

As First Engineer of this project has finished his academic career so he has more time now, we hope we will finally bring this app OpenSource. Unfortunatelly not in this version. This one is numbered 0.1.9 and codenamed Harriet after Battle of Mount Harriet, small British victory in Falklands War.

New features

  1. Reengineered headers of tabs, containing caption and search form.
  2. Subtasks of project displayed in CPE form.
  3. Field Project being displayed in (search) lists.
  4. Look&Feel features redesigned a little.

Fixes

  1. Fixed accidentally lost clock image for period from 12:00 till 1:00.
  2. Preserving textarea cursor position when resizing.
  3. Fixed CSS layouts in MSIE 7.0 and 8.0.
  4. Javascript errors with Prototype framework methods in MSIE 7.0 and 8.0.

No not forget: GTDtab.com is Perpetual Beta.

From first look, this seems to be exactly what I need to stay organized, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to create a project. What am I missing?

@Kathy Project is any item having subtasks. For that you need to create subtask as ordinary item and assign another item from any box as a project to it in the form (there is a separate section for it). You can also only edit existing item and assign another one as its project.

I know there is not much documentation for this feature (and not only for this one), but I am currently rewriting project as OpenSource and it takes a lot of my free time (this is a hobby project for me). I hope once it is done a team will be formed to help and assist me with development and project management.

Anyway thank you for your interest. If you need more elaborated steps how-to create project, do not hesitate to ask for it in this thread.

Hi… about projects again… even after reading your explanation couldn’t work out properly with projects! It’s a bit confusing to me, and my project keeps desapearing…!
Agree that a project is something that needs tasks and subtasks to be done, but it seems easier to deal with if it was more like a label: I create as many projects I want and assign tasks to them.
Hope to have contributed in a positive way.

@Fabio Some piece of information in English you may find here: http://blog.gtdtab.com/2009/06/working-with-gtd-1-carton-and-electrons/. Team is currently rewriting code so it can be OpenSourced, therefore we do not have much time. Thank you for your reaction.
